To locate books that Dacus Library owns, the Dacus Online Catalog (DOC) is the first resource you should use. You can search the catalog using author, title, subject or keyword. Check out the Searching for Books research guide for more information.
Along with books, DOC can also be used to find ebooks and audio visual materials. Remember, while you can look up journal titles to see if Dacus Library owns specific journals, you CANNOT search for articles through DOC.
For information on how to search for articles, please see the How Do I Find Articles answer.
If you do not find the item you want through DOC, there are other options. First, you can check the Pascal Delivers catalog to see if the book is available in another South Carolina college or university. If it is, you can request that the book be delivered to Dacus Library for you to pick it up.
Second, if we do not own the item you need and it is not available through Pascal Delivers, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. Be aware that when you order books through Interlibrary Loan, it can take up to 10 days to receive the materials.
